Sather Airbase Opening - May 2010
Exchange New Car Sales(ENCS), is delighted to announce that it officially opened a location on Sather Airbase May 24th 2010. The location will be a great addition to our Iraq network of offices to serve those existing customers, and new customers passing through Baghdad through its principal airport.
The official opening was marked with numerous events which were sponsored by Harley-Davidson. The Baghdad ‘Car Guys’ held an hourly raffle through out the day with $50.00 AAFES gift cards going to the lucky winners.
There was music for the day courtesy of Derek Cockrell who was the ENCS acting DJ for a day.
The Airforce helped out and loaned ENCS their Dunk tank for the day, so it was a great opportunity for the soldiers / sailors / marines / airmen and civilians to have some fun and dunk their colleagues – those who successfully dunked somebody with 3 attempts were the lucky winners of a Limited edition genuine Harley-Davidson Overseas Tour T-Shirt. Over 130 T-shirts went to winners on the day.
The festivities were crowned with the visit of a very special Guest. New AAFES Commanding General MG Bruce Casella was in town on the day and attended the event. When chatting to the Car Guys, Asher O’Rourke, and Alan Moore MG Casella revealed that he is an avid Harley fan, and is the proud owner of a Harley Davidson Night Rod.
ENCS looks forward to a long relationship with the local residents of Sather, and to serving those customers passing through the Baghdad area via Sather in the future.
